Workin'

eD is still toiling away over at Stereo D doing 3D depth conversion for feature films, including the recent Jackass 3D.  not really any time to do personal work with his new work schedule and with Halloween so near, but sometime in the next few months expect a few things here and there.

New Stuff!

eD starts his new job this Monday so he has been toiling away trying to make some shirts and such with the Star Guy character he just finished.  Some of them seem pretty funny.  But I will let you all be the judge...

New Character I Suppose...

eD has been working on a new character as he is working in ZBrush on his Salmon Character.  He has been posting images up on his Funny Ha Ha's but since it is 3D I decided to snag the images and post them here.  It is still a work in progress, and he hasn't actually given me the a-okay (or even b-okay) to post them on here, but I am sure he won't mind.

Tuesday August 17th...
Initial Star Model
Initial Wires, added extra Geometry to have enough poly's for the Face
Thursday August 19th...
Base Model with Face added (no Morphs)
Screen Capture from Modeling Program (one of the morphs)
Some Morphs Added
This character is the first of many that eD is calling his Sketchbook Project.  Throughout July his personal project (besides his normal) work was to fill a 50 page sketchbook with ideas for characters, shorts, and other rendered pieces.  He had succeeded and put together collages of some of his favorite pieces which he posted on his Funny Ha Ha's throughout July and early August, which he has recently all put into one post here.  With all that is going on, he will be working on these Sketchbook Projects whenever he has free time, or needs a slight break from whatever he is currently working on.  So while it will not be a daily posting on his Funny Ha Ha's like his "Hands! Project", they will be posted either weekly or biweekly depending on the depth and difficulty of the idea.  I know he has mentioned about doing animations with some of them so that will add to the length of time as well, but I am sure he will show off finished renders before starting animation.

So with that background on the Sketchbook Project, here is eDz first visual representation of this star guy.
(Spoiler... he is gonna get beaten up a bit before he is all finished.)
Initial (probably too much caffeine/lack of sleep) pen sketch

Been a while...

eD has been working on a bunch of new things, but he finally sent me something to post!
This is for another Find Chaffy project for Jamie Smart. eD was trying to teach himself fiber fx for fuzzy hair and grass during this project for possible use on his samurai animals project in the future. We shall see where that goes whenever it is time to get back into that project. For now it's back to looking for freelance work and working on personal projects.

Any donations to the let's make sure eD eats lunch today are always appreciated. For details contact eD I'm pretty sure he has a paypal account...

Something Fishy This Way Comes...

eD sent me a new character model he just finished the base for. He plans on doing more detailed work in the digital sculpting program Z-Brush, but he figured since he hasn't given me anything to post in so long that he would send a character rotation for me to post. So enjoy this glimpse at the before detailing.

eD is working on tons of stuff right now (mostly writing, creating characters and their backgrounds, and random sketches for ideas in the future), but I imagine a lot of the new stuff will be posted next month, when he starts a new personal project series, as well as, finishing this Salmon character and the other character that will take part in his shorts, but I am not at liberty to say more... At least eD didn't say I could say anything, so better safe than sorry...

Harry and Friends Update...

Just checked out the Black Belt Principles website and saw a bunch of new stuff! The website was redesigned and looks much nicer than before. It looks like the characters that eD created haven't changed too much since eD worked on them, besides outdoor clothes and some fuzzy texturing. There is also a trailer for the second episode to view on there as well. We here at SSP are happy to see their endeavors paying off and wish them all the luck with all their future projects.
