SSPirate

eD made this for his uncles, who were severely dissapointed in the Pittsburgh Pirates for trading off so many players this season. So whenever they saw his Screwball shirt (like most people they initially thought that it meant screw baseball) they wanted one that made it look like it said Screw Pirates Baseball. Hence this new shirt symbol, and even a new variant of the SSP logo.

What The...

eD had told me he was working on something. Some practice for texturing and prop/environmental modeling, he had told me. I had no idea what to expect and then he sends me this...
Not sure if it's from some personal experience, or just another random thought that made him laugh. I can never tell.

On the Road - News from eD...

I was home recently and stopped in at my Comic Book Shop (Infinity Music & More in Murrysville, PA) to pick up my books and what do I see but a sole remaining X-Men: Dark Tide Mini-Mate Box Set sitting on the shelf. I should have offered to sign it but I figured that may hinder anyone from buying it, so I didn't bother. Kinda cool to see them still in stores.

Funny Ha Ha's

eD has finally started his own Blog of Funny Ha Ha's. While we encourage eDz creativity, we do not always want to be related to his humor, hence the separate Blog for himself where he can let his Ha Ha's roam free. This will not interfere with his SSP work, it may actually help it, but we shall see about that in the future.

Painting Update

Before eD went off to Comic-Con he sent me a Work In Progress (WIP) picture of the Nerf gun that he was customizing. He said that the initial painting is completed, and once he gets back from Comic-Con he is going to start working on the airbrushed details and other ideas that he had. I was a little concerned about how this project was going to turn out, thinking that he would make it all cartoony and goofy. I think it is looking really cool so far, but I will let you be the judge...

Other Comic-Con Randomness

I was able to get two Head sketches from artist Sean "Cheeks" Galloway who created the concept art for the characters in the animated Hellboy cartoons, as well as, The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series, so I asked him to do head sketches of Doc Ock and my fave spidey villain Green Goblin.
I also got to meet Joe Ledbetter for the first time which was awesome. he signed my book and then after talking to him for a bit he offered to do a sketch in my book for me as well. How could I pass that up?
I got so much inspiration from Comic-Con it isn't even funny. My feet and back are sore from walking around so much the last few days, but I am going to put that inspiration into work and should have some interesting things this week to post.
